Water Harvesting – First Project

As I will be keeping track of all that I do on the Farm I wanted to start by letting you know on my first attempts to make the Farm as sustainable as possible.
The house inspector missed a leaky bath tub drain. After taking a shower I would have a constant drip. While waiting for a plumber to come out and fix the problem I did what I thought made the most ecological sense and put a bucket under the faucet to catch the water.
I’d use this water collection to irrigate my lemon tree and also turned the water off to my toilet and filled the toilet’s tank with the water that kept dripping from the bath tub.
Why let good water go to waste in the desert.
